A Child Protection Policy Statement

Clubs, groups and organisations that provide services and activities to children and young people under the age of 18 years should have a written child protection policy statement and procedure in place.

It can be helpful to think of a Child Protection Policy (see example Child Protection Policy) as a collection of short statements which summarise the organisation’s stance in relation to the care and protection of children and young people.
