Guidelines and Procedures which relate to all individuals

All individuals, and not just those who have access to children and young people, should be fully aware of the organisation’s child protection policy and procedures.

The title of the recent Scottish Executive audit, It’s everyone’s Job to Make Sure I’m Alright, can act as a useful reminder that all adults have a collective responsibility for the care and welfare of children and young people in our society.

The responsibility does not rest solely with individuals who work in child care positions.
