Other services provided by CRBS

If requested to do so, CRBS will:

  • assist organisations when they are making assessments about the suitability of applicants to work with children and/or vulnerable adults. However, CRBS staff will never make the decision on whether to engage a volunteer or member of staff. That decision must always rest with the organisation.
  • offer comprehensive guidance and training to organisations within the voluntary sector on issues related to Part V of the Police Act 1997 and training on other legislation.
  • advise voluntary organisations on broader measures of child protection and the protection of vulnerable adults.
  • assist organisations in interpreting, using and disposing of Disclosure information.
