Technical questions about Dimdim answered

What do I need to run a Dimdim session on my computer?

You must have:
  • A computer with a suitable operating system (Windows 2000 / Windows XP / Mac OSX / Linux), browser (Internet Explorer / Mozilla Firefox / Safari) & Adobe Flash Player 9 software installed
  • A sound card and speakers
  • A broadband connection to the internet
How can I check if I have the correct version of Flash Player?
You can check the version of Flash Player which is installed on your computer by following this link: http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/155/tn_15507.html

What if my broadband speed is poor?

We recommend that you look at the free demos on the Dimdim website before signing on to one of our sessions.  This should confirm that the speed is OK. However, broadband speed can vary considerably, based on several factors.

If I want to train several people at once, do I need a computer for each one?
It is possible to use appropriate speakers and a projector to let several people from your organisation take part in the training simultaneously.
