Introduction to PVG / Regulated Work

Duration: 90 minutes

Course Details

This training is aimed at organisations enrolled with CRBS to ensure they are prepared and understand their requirements and obligations under the new PVG Scheme. It will be delivered by a trainer over the internet. Participants will hear the presenter's voice and see the slide presentation on their screen. There will be the opportunity to ask questions via a "chat" facility and to speak with the presenter by phone afterwards. Please click here for further information.

The training will cover the following areas:

  • An overview of the PVG Scheme
  • Determining who within organisations should be asked to join the Scheme
  • Defining regulated work with children and protected adults
Handouts will be provided in advance of the session and will be referred to during the training. In order to obtain the full preparatory training for PVG, you should also attend the on-line courses on "PVG certificates" and "Referrals and listing", but the courses can be taken in any sequence.

  • Understanding the criteria and requirements for making effective referrals under the new Scheme

Signatory

Duration: 1 Hour

Course Details

This training is aimed at CRBS enrolled signatories, change of signatory or potential signatories to ensure they are prepared and understand their requirements and obligations under the new PVG Scheme. It will be delivered by a trainer over the internet. Participants will hear the presenters voice and see the slide presentation on their screen. There will be the opportunity to ask questions via a "chat" facility and to speak with the presenter by phne afterwards.

The training wil cover the following areas:

  • Understanding your requirements as a CRBS signatory an enrolled organisation.
  • Identify the types of disclosure available and process at the correct level for positions within your organisation
