Head of HR & OD

12 months Maternity Cover (December ‘12 to December ‘13), Full time.  Secondments also considered

Grade 9, £35,634 to £40,344 


Volunteer Development Scotland leads in developing new ways to grow and enhance volunteering in Scotland by providing advice, resources to volunteers and volunteer involving organisations, and connecting Scotland’s people with volunteering opportunities.

We are seeking to appoint a professional and experienced Head of HR & OD for a period of one year.  This is a senior role at the heart of one of Scotland’s leading social change agencies where you’ll be responsible for leading a comprehensive, business focused HR & OD strategy.

As a knowledgeable and highly experienced operational HR manager you’ll take a hands on approach where required.  A credible and confident leader, you’ll influence, convince and negotiate at every level delivering real organisational change.

You’ll have the flexibility to be able to respond to the needs of the organisation and the creativity to engage others and identify solutions.  Ideally you’ll have experience in working in a programme management or service delivery environment, and a clear vision on how to apply these skills.
